Table No 21 the Game of Truth AND Dare

table-no-21Till now I’m not sure what is the significance associated to this name or number in movie. Movie being entirely shot in Fiji is a thriller is based on a reality game show sails into the back of a nice script(iam glad it has a script ) and powerful performances featuring. It is good too see Rajeev Khandelwal on the other side /receiving end of Sach Ka Samna kind of a game where every lie is going to be expensive. “You Lie You Die”

Although the concept of game show matter of life and death etc is not a unique one but still the movie is captivating in most of its senses. Stylish and packed with good prices, there are some exceptional visible in what is essentially a decent attempt to bring a “different” kind of film with the audience.

This movie is not truth or dare game show its TRUTH AND DARE without a vintage bottle of champagne. The characters portray a cute couple with 10 years of relationship. The lead seems to be a decent and loving and nothing to hide type of person so he is quite confidant to play the game. But it turns out they have to confront their worst phobias deal with demons of the past, rediscover themselves the hard way and have their love and endurance tested to snapping point as the game turns more violent and hazardous with each successive question.

Though there are few twists and turns which seem a little predictable but then the last 20 minutes of the movie are show stealer and brings in a different concept and message in its own. You feel the shades of character and perspective from where you watch and entire meaning of it changes. We all are grey. Which makes this movie definitely a worth watching movie.

Though at times I felt it is bit dragged and doesn’t makes you completely engross in the movie but I still like the editing of movie. Table No. 21 is a daring and sexy movie that manages to be different and is almost the price of the ticket. Provides a serious message that separate goodbye! Apart from the standard one “there are no free lunches in this world” it’s a trade off. 😉

  1. Nicely written! My oneliner review for FB was “Table No 21 was like eating a cake bottom up and finding out there was no tasty icing to conclude. :P”

I was actually looking for diva Sana Amin Shaikh. Thanks.
